Resumo: The practices carried out during the initial teacher formationprocess are often decontextualized and distant from the school reality, so we can realizethe need to create pedagogical resources that link theory to practice, acting in a more meaningful teacher formation courses. In this perspective, it was proposed to elaborate a mini course with the objective of acting in the formationof undergraduate students in Biological Sciences, in the discipline of Methodology of Teaching in Ecology, Federal University of Lavras, UFLA, Minas Gerais. During the development of the activity was used the cordel Literature, specifically three textsof the poet Patativa do Assaré, to approach ecological concepts. After the development of the mini-course it was proposed to the students of the discipline to produce a cordel text, from the discussions previously carried out. These textswere used for activity analysis. As methodology of analysis was used the methodology of qualitative research, the notion of utterance, of the Bakhtin ́s Circle.From these concept, we identified Biological, Social and cultural Approach as utterances. Thus, it was possible to perceive the mini-course as a relevant activity in the initial teacher formation, the involvement of the participants with the scientific and popular knowledge and the importance of the construction of pedagogical resources during the practices of teacher formationso that they can present a holistic vision of the knowledge and thus construct contextualized practices that willaid in the teaching-learning process of the students of the basic school.
