Abstract: | Introduction: The functional capacity (CF) suffers alterations so much of the ageing how much of the cancer. It added these two factors, the elderly survivor of cancer suffers with the incapacities generated by the illness. Although to practical physical activity (AP) is related with the increase of the quality of life in survivors of cancer, still little itself knows about the effects of the AP, about the variables of the CF. Therefore the objective of the study is going to verify the components of the CF in participants cancer survivors of a program of AP. Methodology: Participated of the study 49 survivors of cancer (17 men and 32 women) with medium age of 62.27 ± 13.75 years. The volunteers participated of a program of AP, composed by aerobic activities and flexibility. The program was carried out twice weekly with duration of one hour, during 32 weeks. To CF was evaluated pre and powders the participation of the program of AF, through the lower members strength tests (IMF), strength of upper members (FMS), Flexibility of lower members (FlexMI), Flexibility of upper members (FlexMS), Aerobic Capacity (CA), Agility (AG) and Equilibrium (EQ). Statistical: descriptive with comparison of stockings and detour standard. It was utilized the test of Shapiro Wilk for verify the normality of the facts and for identify the differences between the variables was utilized the test not parametric of MannWhitney. For the analyses was adopted the level of significance p <0.05. Results: They were found significant differences in no component of the functional capacity, when compared pre and powders the participation in the program of AF. Conclusion: The program proposed in this I study can be considered satisfactory, therefore, was actively responsible by the maintenance of the CF in survivors of cancer. Therefore to AF is going to have a back-up paper in the prevention and rehabilitation of the cancer mainly related to the maintenance of the functional and physical capacities. |
