Abstract: Neuroscience is a field that enables the understanding of the brain structure, as well as numerous aspects involved and/or related to this structure, such as the notions of mind and consciousness, for example. In general, it has been linked to education, mainly by discussing possible paths of learning, how it happens and how the brain changes based on the influences of the environment. This work substantiates its questions by analyzing the presence of Neuroscience in training courses, discussing the elaboration and development of a continuing education and neuroscience training course. Our intention is to understand and reflect – both based on scientific production on the subject and from the data that will be collected – on the knowledge acquired in initial training and during pedagogical practice, analyzing how we arrive and seek answers in neuroscience. This research was designed based on the use of netnographic techniques, encompassing methods that allowed data collection online, linked to mechanisms for recording research journals and bibliographic review. It can be seen from this study that the popularization of Neuroscience is emerging since, in addition to not having its importance reflected in the educational field, it also appears linked to erroneous promises. It is concluded that there is a need for an expansion of research and discussions on the use of Neuroscience in the field of education, on the one hand demystifying inappropriate uses of concepts and, on the other hand, overcoming a series of prejudices linking Neuroscience to only biological perspectives to be employed in education.
