Abstract: In this work, the development and validation of a static stability prediction system for agricultural tractor are presented. This system is capable of estimating the inclination of the tractor in future movement based on current inclination and obsticle height measurements ahead of the front and rear tires. The tricycle model was used to verify current and future static stability. The angle of the front axis was also measured and, later, predicted. For this end, only the insertion of a distance gauge or front axis inclination gauge was necessary, using the data obtaind by means of the other sensors of the transversal and longitudinal inclination prediction system of the tractor. Trials conducted with the tractor showed the applicability and precision of the proposed prediction system, with the possibility of adaptation to other motor vehicles.
