Abstract: When a microgrid operate autonomously of the main grid, its generation units must be able to provide proper levels of voltage and frequency in order to support the local loads. At this condition it is also necessary to coordinate the power sharing among multiple distributed generators aiming the reduction of the total generation cost. In this context, this paper presents a proportional power sharing strategy based on the Droop concept for an islanded microgrid with grid forming power converters controlled by finite-set model predictive control technique. The simulation results to validate this strategy were obtained in MATLAB/Simulink software environment.
