Abstract: We present the results of a research that sought to identify the perceptions that literacy teachers have about the training experienced in the National Pact forLiteracy at the Right Age. For this, a qualitative research was developed, with the application of a questionnaire, with teachers from a city in the interior of Minas Gerais. From the content analysis the answers were grouped in three dimensions of analysis: the formation process as literacy teachers; theoretical concepts in relation to the literacy process and pedagogical actions for literacy. The teachers pointed out that the training enabled a (re)thinking of the pedagogical work on reading and writing carried out in the schools.
