Abstract: | Futsal is a sport of collaboration and collective opposition, characterized by a succession of high speed movements in reduced spaces1 . In this mode there are fast changes of direction and high accelerations that favor individuals with greater agility2 . Accordingly, the dynamics of the current futsal requires motor skills are developed along the lines of the sport. Given the relevance of the topic under focus, the study was designed in order to verify the existence of a linear relationship between agility and speed, due to the importance of both for sport. To measure the speed and agility were performed 20m Sprint Test and the Test of Square respectively. The tests were performed with male children practicing futsal 8-11years, mean age 9.6 ±0.73. It was observed that in the sample selected there was no statistically significant correlation between the two variables (test square/sprint 10m=0.4993; square test/sprint 20m=0.4604), possibly due to interference from other factors in performance. |
