Abstract: This article aims to present a research conducted in the context of the Youth School Games of the State of Mato Grosso, which aimed to understand and check the different manifestations of violence, according to the perception of the referees participating in the referred sporting event. To this end, an investigation was conducted under qualitative assumptions of an exploratory nature, using Oral History as a data collection technique, interviewing three referees who played in these games in 2017. Based on the data, the existence of attitudes of violence was identified addressed to them, under the aegis of female disability through their position of power, control and autonomy in games, understanding based on markedly macho and sexist representations. As a result, it reflects an atmosphere of violence, the content of which in some way hinders the formative potential and development of young athletes in this environment. This scenario allowed us to infer the imperative need to problematize the issues of violence against these referees, in order to reject prejudice and destabilize historically established situations.
