Abstract: | Bioindicators are used to demonstrate environmental conditions or changes. They are also used as tools for environmental expertise for the ability to relate anthropic or natural factors that cause impacts to the environment. The presence of fauna is an important indicator of forest restoration, as pollinators, dispersers and predators are the recruitment of seedlings of tree species, for example. Therefore, this work evaluated the process of eight years forest restoration through the number of occasional records of fauna elements. For this we use direct methods (visualization, reporting and analysis of carcasses) and indirect (analysis of traces: hair, feces, burrows, footprints, ecdises and others). Seven species were recorded, including Mazama sp. (brocket). This is a selective species in environmental conditions and food, responding negatively to environmental degradation. The presence of this and other fauna elements suggests the use of the area as stepping stone, shows improvement of the environmental quality and serves as an argument for the conservation of the area. |
