Abstract: The environmental problematic is one of the most recurrent issue treated by society, having its beginning in the seventies (70`s) with the big environmental movements. Associated to these, education and interpretation environmental were born, pedagogics tools that focus the change of man thinking about environmental issues. This study sought to arouse in the citizem of Lavras (MG) environmental awareness through the implementation of interpretative trail to the Centro de Educação Ambiental da 6ª Cia Ind de Meio Ambiente e Trânsito Rodoviário da Polícia Militar de Minas Gerais – Ecolândia. For the trail implementation it was used indicators of attractiveness of the Interpretative points – method that allowed the selection of a dozen points, where interpretive signs were posted. Its texts and graphic elements were based on the proposed themes for each point and the signs confection followed refence patterns in order to become more attractive to the visitors The plaques made the trail richer and more interesting and are contributing to a more effective environmental education and interpretation process.
