Abstract: | The relations among university-industry-government are seen as strategic to encourage the innovation dynamics. However, this triad has received new actors that strengthen the process of generating innovation and knowledge, considering aspects for sustainable development. Thus, the objective of this article is to systematize studies on Triple Helix, including recent approaches as Quadruple and Quintuple. To reach the objective, a systematic review of the literature was carried out in 135 articles indexed in the Web of Science database. The methodological procedures were divided into four stages: delimitation of the scope of analysis; selection of articles; descriptive and semantic analysis. To analyze the data, CiteSpace®, spreadsheets and content analysis were used. The main descriptive results are an increase in publications from 2011 and the detection of an explosion of citations in the theme. The semantic results show the theories related to the model of helix, and the main characteristics and functionalities for the Quadruple and Quintuple Helix. |
