Abstract: | The objective of this study was to develop a low cost electronic circuit for the automatic handling of irrigation systems based on the evaporation of a tank. The irrigation controller was developed at the Irrigation Laboratory, Federal University of Lavras in Lavras - MG, using discrete electronic circuit such as resistor, diode, capacitor, transistor and integrated circuits, and it consists of a clock generator, a decade counter and logic gates. A micro tank was adapted receiving an auxiliary well connected by a communicating vessel where a float system moves vertically with the variation of the blade. The driver was subjected to a water application control regime for a period of 100 days simulating irrigation with three different blades defined by multiple times of irrigation. A drip irrigation of each sector was put in a container in order to monitor the number of irrigations and the average volume applied. During the working time, minor variations were observed, but they do not confine the water application, indicating that the prototype built, has potential for automatic irrigation management usage in the greenhouse. |
