Abstract: | With the universalization of basic education in Brazil, and with the poor quality of teaching, there is a great concern about the initial teacher training. Formation that broadly demonstrates itself disarticulated between the specific contents of the area of action with pedagogical didactic training. In order to articulate such areas, the discipline of Biology Teaching Methodology at UFLA proposes the construction and conduction of a pedagogical sequence of Cellular Biology with active methodologies, having in this work the theme Mitosis. Thus, this work aims to report, analyze and discuss such experience and its contribution to teacher training. The analytical tool was Thematic Content Analysis, which resulted in the elaboration of 3 categories: 'The Captivating Character of Active Methodology'; 'The explanatory power of Active Methodologies'; 'Models as means of Teaching'. Therefore, the importance of active methodologies for overcoming banking education is emphasized, contributing to critical and autonomous teachers and students. |
