Abstract: | Forest fragmentation affects biodiversity by changing the composition and functionality of the fragments in relation to areas without such disorder. This study aimed to characterize the arboreal vegetation of forest fragments present on the campus of Federal University of Lavras, immersed in different matrices and with different degrees of human disturbance. Seven areas were identified with tree cover of dominance, with different historical usage. In total, we found 275 species, being 21 exotic species that were present in all areas. The zoochory was the most representative dispersal syndrome in all sites. Most species were classified under the categories frequent, common, occasional or abundant, according to the criteria for Plant Conservation Status Rating. The areas studied, despite its anthropization history, have important examples of native flora and are important as ecological corridors in an intense human use matrix. |
