Abstract: | This article presents a part of an exploratory study that investigated possible relationships between personal characteristics, digital information and communication technologies domain, and the academic performance of bachelor students at distance learning studies. This research, whose results have already been presented and are recorded in annals of congresses in the area of education, focused on students’ perceptions about the possible factors associated with their academic performance results obtained. Data were collected in semistructured interviews with 27 students and analyzed using Laurence Bardin content analysis. The following factors are considered to affect performance: lack of organization of study time, difficulty in interacting with peers, course structure and dissatisfaction with classes by videoconference. These factors indicated possible difficulties of adaptation when the student leaves the conventional face-to-face model and enters a distancelearning course. |
