Abstract: | With the aim to produce more sustainable materials, the scientific community seeks alternatives to replace raw materials from nonrenewable sources. We evaluated the influence of inclusion at different levels of Eucalyptus grandis × Eucalyptus urophylla fibers on the physico-mechanical properties of polymer composites. Unsaturated orthophthalic polyester resin was applied. Fibers were used at following concentrations: 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 wt%. Composites were evaluated in terms of to their microstructure and their mechanical and physical properties. Twenty five percent reinforcement was more suitable for composites’ production, without predominantly effect on their properties. |
