The concentration, responsible for the balance between body and mind, is an important variable in the athlete's performance and to achieve success. The objective of this study was to determine how the category black belt athletes prepare psychologically for Golden Point. It was developed a qualitative research by applying a semi-structured interview, at national and international level athletes of Minas Gerais. Data were analyzed by structuring reasoning verbal reports. According to the narratives of the subjects, it highlights common and important aspects such as the development, maintenance, and training of concentration during competitive training.
