Abstract: | This work has as objective identifies as the segments ofthe chain ofthe coffee of Espírito Santo State they have been developing the commercialization systems and logistics of the Arabic special coffees produced, identifying the difficulties points, the potentialities and the possibilities ofimprovement ofthe systems, as alternative of increasing the competitiveness of the State in the international and domestic markets. It was used as research method the case study and the documental research. The selection ofthe segments based on the diagram of the system agroindustrial of the coffee from Brazil proposed by Farina and Zylberzstajn (1998), where they were selected fourteen actors that act in the productive chain ofcoffee in Espírito Santo State. In each interface the agents were submitted to interviews being used of semi-structured questionnaires, elaborated in agreement with each actors segment. The results obtained identified as main limited factors the little volume ofspecial coffees produced in the State; the structural conditions oftransport, mainly in the local highways of the State; the deficient net of cooperatives and associations of producers and the reduced number ofcommercialization channels. Among the factors noticed as favorable stands out the geographical location ofthe State that is favored by the short existent distances between the production points and export; the port structure that it is recognized as one ofthe best ofthe Country; the tradition and the exporters' experience in the commercialization services and logistics, as well as the potential of installations that they present great stockpiling conditions and improvement. Still identifies the agents' integration that they participate in the chain; the marketing ofthe coffee capixaba developed the last years and the great potential ofthe consuming market. To the mode of conclusions, it can come that in spite ofthe little significance ofEspírito Santo State in the total production ofspecial coffees ofBrazil, the State presents potential conditions for the participation in this market niche. The treatment of the limitations and the use of the potentialities logistics and of commercialization they show that the incentive and the agents' integrated participation in the production of coffees of improved quality have been corroborating for the introduction ofthe State in more competitive markets of Brazil and ofthe world. |
