Abstract: | Happen in the twentieth century was, in Brazil, a process of deterritorialization with marked spatial mobility of its rural population. Rapid urbanization in the course, especially the years from 1950 to 1980 structured in Brazilian society, the rural-urban dichotomy. There have been complex territorial clippings, a hologram of use and land cover rural and urban. Engineered into a sectarian discourse, the countryside and its rural areas, based on the interests of agribusiness industry is underestimating therefore the daily life of a rural lively in cultural, environmental, social and economic aspects of family farming. In this complex history and geography, of rural Brazil, were produced chronic social representations of lifestyles from the dichotomy of modern and late. Accordingly, the country remained hostage to this duality that clouded, via economist, a broad understanding of their reality. A vision of rural blunt the family farm. A fragmented view of a Brazil too far from the coast, from an authoritarian developmental scope, investment and economic sector of public policy decontextualized. |
