Abstract: This work has as objective to investigate how people administration politics instrumentalize practices ofcnsciplmary power in an organization, and how the individuais build up adheãon and reâstance mechanisms to adjust memselves to those practices. In oíder to rearfr tVam^ft was mvestigatedthe wav an amonnt ofworkforce administration politics mediates discçlinary power practices in a Brazilian software development organization. It was also observedthe occurrence ofadhesion and resistance movements to those disriplinary power practices, paiticularizing me ccntrol legitimation and denial forms articulated by me workers. Tne anarysis perspective adopted recognizes me power relationships in me organization existing in several leveis, intensities and directions, as weü as its permanent recamguration character. Therefore, me organization relationship with its workforce ís inserted anrid other power relationships with other agents that compose me society. When centering in dififerent organizational actors' perspective, the memodological option adopted the oiganizational analysis interpretative paradigm postulates, emphasizmg the manners for which the mdrviduals are capable to interact with each other, and the resuhs ofthat interaction: me social ielancaships built up in me organizational space. For mat reason, it was an mvestigation based on quahtative nature techniques, which allow going besides a relatively simple, superficial and aesthetic vision, seekingto look for the questions roots, rts existence causes and relationships.
