Abstract: | The use of softwares to aid the design of irrigation projects can reduce errors, providing an effective the analysis of scenarios, and assisting the choice of the layout. Because drip irrigation is pressurized, energy availability is crucial for its operation, a fact that makes it almost impossible to install in regions where there is no electricity distribution network. Therefore, the objective with this work was to develop a software to aid on the design of drip irrigation systems pumped with the use of solar energy, being applied to Mozambican regions. For this, the Visual Basic programming language was implemented in Visual Studio, where formulas were inserted in the form of a programming language to perform calculations. A graphical interface was generated allowing the user to proceed with data entry and to observe the design results. The developed software showed advantages after being compared with other applications currently used. |
