Abstract: | Nitrogen (N) is a nutrient that has great importance in the development of strawberry. One way of inserting N in the soil is through the use green manure (GM). In this context, the objective of this study was to evaluate the use of the N contained in the shoots and roots of GM for strawberry culture. The experiment was conducted in factorial 2x5x2, 2 AV (sunn hemp and millet), 5 doses of mineral N (0, 200, 400, 600 e 800 mg vaso-1 ) and 2 treatments (shoot marked and unmarked with 15N), with three replicates . The harvest of shoots (S) strawberry occurred at 180 days after transplantation, where the plants were washed, oven dried (65 C), weighed, ground and analyzed for the concentration of 15N and N. The S dry matter production increased due to N rates and showed no differences between the GM. The N recovery contained in the S of sunn hemp decreased and in the S of millet increased due to N rates. The use of N contained in the roots of GM increased due to N rates. The higher N recovery, either S or root, was obtained with sunn hemp even treatment without N fertilization. |
