Abstract: | Usability is a relevant aspect in the analysis of the human machine interface, as it concerns the dialogue established between subject and artifact and the quality of use and interaction allowed by the system. This paper seeks to establish educational game evaluation criteria based on a pre-designed heuristic assessment, the Game User Experience Satisfaction (GUESS), applying it to the evaluation of a game currently under development. This is an applied research with a mixed approach (quanti-quali) involving specialized users and end users of an educational game for chemistry teaching. The choice of approach was made from a systematic review of the usability literature. In addition to a new proposal for an educational game evaluation tool, a 3D digital version of an educational game for teaching the periodic table was also developed. |
