Abstract: | In this work, the potential utilization of the fast pyrolysis to obtain different productsfrom four biofuel biomass wastes, i.e. tucuma and mamonacakes (biodiesel production) andsugarcane strawand bagasse (bioethanol production) is investigated. Elemental analyses, TG,GCMS, mass balance, immediate analyses and calorific power showed that biodiesel cakesproduced 17-25 wt% gas based on COx, H2 and C1-C2 hydrocarbons, 32-38wt% biochar and 42-45wt% liquids composed of 18-23% acidic aqueous fraction containing high concentration of organics and 22-23% of an oil fraction composed of a complex mixture of organic compounds. The fast pyrolysis of sugarcane straw and bagasse produced 6 wt% gas (mainly COx), 6-18 wt% biochar and 25-75 wt% liquid. Based on the obtained information, different possibilities of application are discussed. |
