Abstract: The present study had as objective to carry out the taxonomic treatment of the Eupatorieae tribe in the rupestrian fields of two mountainous complexes of the Mesorregião do Campo das Vertentes, the Serras da Bocaina e Carrancas Complex and Serras Ouro Grosso Complex. These two mountain ranges are located in the southern portion of the state of Minas Gerais, south of the São Francisco Craton, geographically located southeast of the Serra da Canastra, southwest of the Serra de São José and Cadeia do Espinhaço, and north of the Serra da Mantiqueira. These mountain ranges are covered predominantly by rupestrian fields, a phytophysiognomy considered to be one of the most biodiverse and with a higher rate of endemism among the tropics. For the study area, 16 genera and 41 species were recorded, of which three genera and 18 species correspond to new records for the studied areas. Twelve species cited in previous listings were not confirmed in the present treatment, the recognition of which is likely to be the result of incorrect identifications. The richest genera in number of species were Chromolaena (10 spp.) and Mikania (7 spp.), supporting the diversity pattern of the tribe usually observed in rupestrian fields . Three species are classified as endangered, Mikania glauca and Stevia hilarii according to the Livro Vermelho da Flora do Brasil, and Mikania decumbens according to the lista vermelha do Centro Nacional de Conservação da Flora do Brasil. These results reinforce the importance of detailed studies of the diversity of the rupestrians fields of Campo da Vertentes, a region already mentioned in other studies as a priority for conservation. In this study keys of identifications, descriptions, taxonomic comments, photographic illustrations, information of the geographic distribution and the conservation status of the species are provided.
