| metadata.eventos.dc.description.resumo: | Este trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar as vantagens e as principais críticas aos recursos de autodevolução de materiais bibliográficos adotados em bibliotecas universitárias. Foram selecionadas 16 instituições públicas ou privadas que divulgaram em páginas oficiais de suas bibliotecas a disponibilidade do recurso. Na pesquisa foi utilizada uma entrevista estruturada de caráter exploratório e de coleta de informações visando identificar a posição dos gerentes de bibliotecas Universitárias e/ou dos bibliotecários responsáveis pela preservação e conservação do acervo. Concluiu-se que apesar das barreiras, dificuldades e problemas identificados, o custo benefício da implantação é considerável e é recomendada a implantação dos recursos àquelas bibliotecas que buscam inovar seus serviços e dar mais autonomia aos seus usuários. |
| metadata.eventos.dc.description.abstract: | This study aims to present the advantages and the main criticisms to the resources of the bibliographic materials self-checkout system adopted by university libraries. It was selected 16 public or private institutions that reported on their official web pages the availability of the system. In the survey it was used an exploratory structured interview and information gathering to identify the position of the university library managers and / or librarians responsible for the preservation and conservation of the collection. The conclusion was that despite the obstacles, difficulties and problems identified, the cost benefit of the system is considerable and it is recommended the implementation of this resource to those libraries that seek to innovate their services and give more autonomy to their users. |
