Resumo: The present study aims to investigate how the teaching of Computational Thinking can be inserted in the Basic Education curriculum according to the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC). The subject in question was chosen due to the high rate of consumption of Digital Communication and Information Technologies (ICT) by children and adolescents today. This work is of a qualitative nature, consisting of a netnographic research, making use of the bibliographic review and the research diary as methodological tools, in order to articulate the existing studies on the subject to the results found. From the data collected, we will produce an analysis seeking an answer to the guiding question of this research: how has Computational Thinking been discussed and proposed for Basic Education? How have private educational companies incorporated such discussions into their products? The first stage of the study focuses on deepening the appropriate literature; the second includes data collection through a netnographic analysis of the websites and social media of 5 institutions that offer this education to elementary and high school students. This research points out the fact of the relevance of teaching Computational Thinking for Basic Education today, as well as how such knowledge can be inserted in school curricula in Brazil, with reference to the BNCC.
