Problemas de Otimização Linear no Ensino Médio: uma proposta de abordagem com o uso da ferramenta GeoGebra - Book

Abstract

This work consists of the presentation of an approach for solving Linear Optimization problems in High School. To establish the bases relating to Linear and Integer Programming, some problems and solution methods are presented to maximize or minimize the objective function, thus determining the optimal solution. For this purpose, Mathematical Modeling is approached, as well as its characterization and importance in the context of solving optimization problems. This proposal includes a sequence of Linear Programming problems and is carried out using the GeoGebraBook tool, a digital technology made available online and free of charge by the GeoGebra mathematical software. The use of GeoGebraBook enables graphical visualization and verification of mathematical properties dynamically and interactively. With this proposal, we seek to encourage students to study Mathematics, showing possibilities of applying this discipline in other contexts, and encouraging teachers to address optimization problems in their Mathematics classes in High School.
