Resumo: | The strawberry (Fragaria x ananassa Duch.) is a plant belonging to the Rosaceae family with great economic relevance, mainly for family farming. In addition, it has the ability to even be used as an ornamental because of the beauty of its leaves and flowers. Among the abiotic stresses, salt stress is one of the most severe that restricts agricultural production, and can cause a negative impact on plants and interfere with their growth and development. The objective was to investigate the use of growth-promoting bacteria in two strawberry cultivars (Pircinque and BRS Estiva) submitted to saline stress by NaCl. Activation and inoculation of four microorganisms in strawberry plants was carried out, two considered tolerant to salinity (Streptomyces sp., Pseudomonas fluorescens) and two isolates of the strawberry leaf (Rhizobium sp. and Enterobacter sp.), to verify the effect of these bacteria stress inoculated in strawberry plants to mitigate environmental stress. The existing interaction between plants and bacteria was beneficial in several aspects involving the two cultivars. In studies involving the cultivar Pircinque, Enterobacter sp. proved effective with regard to the content of photosynthetic pigments (chlorophyll a, b, total and carotenoids) in plants in contact with salt and inoculated with this microorganism. The results presented by the cultivar BRS Estiva were even more beneficial, since all the bacteria showed prominence at some point, either in phytotechnical characteristics or in the content of photosynthetic pigments. The use of growth-promoting bacteria is presented as a biological and sustainable alternative to help mitigate the negative effects caused by salt stress in strawberry plants. |
