Efeito do espaçamento entre tubetes na produção de mudas de Acrocarpus fraxinifolius Wight. &Arn.

Abstract

The nursery seedlings density is an important factor that generates great influence on growth and development, but still lacks related to the production of seedlings in tubes studies. This study evaluated the influence of spacing between tubes, trays with dimensions of 43x60 cm and tubes of 110 cm ³ in the growth of seedlings of Indian cedar (Acrocarpusfraxinifolius). The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse at the Department of Forest Sciences, Federal University of Lavras. We used a completely randomized design with four treatments and eight replicates in each. The treatments were: T1 (full tray equivalent to 419 seedlings/m²), T2 (209 ENCICLOPÉDIA BIOSFERA, Centro Científico Conhecer - Goiânia, v.10, n.18; p. 2014 1427 seedlings/m²), T3 (116 seedlings/m²) and T4 (77 seedlings/m²). The stem diameter and height of the seedlings were evaluated at 120 days after planting. Finally, we determined the dry weight of shoot, root and total system as well as the Quality Index Dickson. The growth data were analyzed by Tukey test at 5 % probability. It was found that for diameter and the IQD, treatment T3 was the best treatment. As to the MSPA, MSR and MST, the treatments did not differ statistically. For variable height, the treatment of T1 and T2 were higher. It was concluded that for the Indian cedar the ideal spacing is 115 mudas/m2 trays.
