Abstract: | Substratum compositions and rooting environment in the Ilex paraguariensis A. St.-Hil.cutting.The experiment was conducted in Embrapa Florestas, aiming to evaluate the initial environment and substratum compositions effects in the survival, rooting and development of Ilex paraguariensiscuttings of 12 years old trees. The work was installed in completely randomized design in the factorial arrangement, with three clones (A32, A34 e A36), six substratum compositions (S1 -substratum to rooting with pinus bark, S2 - substratum to rooting with pinusbark and vermiculite, S3 - carbonized rice bark + fine vermiculite + substratum to rooting with pinusbark and vermiculite (1:1:1 v/v), S4 -carbonized rice bark + substratum to rooting with pinusbark and vermiculite (1:1 v/v), S5 -carbonized rice bark + fine vermiculite (1:1 v/v) and S6 - coconut fiber) and, two rooting environments (automatized greenhouse and simple greenhouse). Although there has been no great variations between the environments tested, the cuttings rooting was little. Substratum formed by the mixture of carbonized rice bark + substratum to rooting with of pinus bark and vermiculite (1:1 v/v) is advised for the erva-mate cuttings rooting. |
