Resumo: | This work objective was to identify the best management of irrigation and fertilization to increase coffee productivity and quality. The experiment was conducted with the cultivar Travessia that was planted in February 2009, with spacing of 2.60 x 0.60 m, irrigated by drip. The experimental design was a randomized block with twelve treatments (3 fertilizer managements) x (4 irrigation managements) and three replications. Fertilizer managements were: I = Traditional fertilization (N-K2O) based on the recommendations of the Soil Fertility Commission of Minas Gerais State; II = 300 kg.ha-1 of P2O5, 550 kg.ha-1 of N and 550 kg.ha-1 of K2O; III = 550 kg.ha-1 of N and 550 kg.ha-1 of K2O. The irrigation treatments were: SI - rainfed; IT - irrigated all year; I30 - suspension of irrigation for 30 days in July; I70 - irrigation suspension for 70 days between July and September. Each experimental unit had three planting lines with 14 plants per line, considering the 10 central plants as useful plants. The yield of 2012, 2013 and 2014, and the grains maturation, sieve data and defects relative of 2014 were evaluated. The fertilization II and III showed tendency to increase productivity when compared to fertilization I. There was no difference in productivity between irrigation treatments.
