Competição, coopetição e cooperação de um aglomerado produtivo: o caso do setor moveleiro do município de Santa Cruz de Minas (MG)

Abstract

The objective of this research was to analyze the relationship between companies in the furniture production cluster in the city of Santa Cruz de Minas (MG). For such, a quantitative descriptive research using a survey was carried out. We surveyed 58 companies in the furniture production cluster and the data were analyzed multivariate statistics. The most observed relationship is the competition, with the presence of opportunistic behavior and lack of trust among participants, informal cluster characteristics. Companies know the benefits of cooperation, such as access to information and improvement of products, but do not apply in the cluster. The main difficulties encountered in the cluster from the perspective of the actors were the lack of skilled labor and high competition. It was observed that the cluster does not exploit the full potential of geographic concentration, especially those resulting from cooperation processes.
