Abstract

The Agriculture and Family Brazilian Agriculture American family have characteristics that differ. The article in question has as main objective to present the differences between Brazilian and American family farm, through literature review and case study involving a Brazilian agricultural family. The paper presents key concepts of agriculture, the characteristics of Brazilian and American agriculture and a comparative table which concludes that the lack of validation of how cooperative with its own purposes for generation of competitive conditions more favorable to family farmers, the lack of a way that enables the family farm add value to your product, the clear distance between the Brazilian family farming and access the use of technology as part of improving productivity as there are major differences in the characteristics between the Brazilian and American family farms.
