Seleção fenotípica de cultivares de soja precoce para a região Sul de Minas Gerais

Abstract

Ranked as one of the leading manufacturers and exporters of soybeans, Brazil stands out for potential planting two crops in a row at the same agricultural year, one then the other, also known as the main crop and second crop. To perform the second crop it is necessary the use of early maturing soybean cultivars that anticipates the time of planting the second crop. The objective of this paper is to study the adaptability of early soybean cultivars for summer crop in southern Minas Gerais state. We evaluated grain yield, plant height, first pod and cultivation of introduced cultivars cycle. The experiment was conducted in 2012/2013 harvest and 2013/2014, adopting the randomized complete block design with 3 replications and 25 cultivars. The results were analyzed according to variance and the average was compared by the Scott-Knott (1974) test at 5% probability, with the aid of SISVAR statistical package. We used the estimated accuracy for experimental precision. Depending on the results obtained, we can infer that the cultivars stands out to cultivate BMX Força RR because it presents favorable features for summer crop, enabling the second one in southern Minas Gerais, combined with good agronomic characteristics and precocity.
